They are very well made, heavy smoked plastic (lexan?) with stainless
hardware. I also ordered his Velcro attached screens for the sliding
cockpit windows.

Love my wind wings. MO Lewis installed them on our motorhome at the Rayne
International rally in March.

Once you have them installed, turn the outside edge in towards the sliding
window until it just clears. Then slide the window between the closed position
and even with the wind wing edge to control the direction of the air blast. You
never need to move the wings again. It's great!

Hi Jack

Sorry about the delayed response to your questions, but I'm on the digest
version of the net.

I just received the wind wings and have not installed yet, so can't attest
to the functionality. Appears to be a very well made product; excellent
workmanship. To mount, the instructions recommend drilling a 1/2" deep hole
in the jamb with a #29 drill bit. This hole is then threaded with a #8-32
tap, to cut good threads. They provide the SS screws for the mounting.
The wings are made of acrylic (methylmethacrylate, i.e., Lucite).

I paid $117 for the wind wings and screens, including shipping & handling.
The Velcro attached screens alone are $48 plus $6 s&h, so I guess the wind
wings would be $60-70 dollars if purchased separately.

I really wanted the screens, as we can then contain the cats while keeping
the sliders open for ventilation when camped.
