G'day!

As the little girl in Poltergeist said; "I'm back!"

About a month ago my anxiety and depression just disappeared; when I saw my Psychologist I noted that had happened but I couldn't figure out why it
just disappeared and I felt normal again, she noted that was not uncommon.

My only problem is that I was sedentary for a couple of years and have put on a lot of weight which I'll have to work off. I've been working on things
around the house that have gone unattended for a couple of years and once they are completed I'll head down the workshop and get stuck into projects
down there.

I decided to celebrate my recovery and went to look at the new 2021 Mustang Mach 1; I had a 1971 Mach 1 which is why. While looking at stuff about the
the Mach 1 I stumbled on to this website https://www.sm17.com.au/. After reviewing the specs on the car I ordered one. They are a limited production
of 50. It will be delivered sometime in April.

I reckon it will blow the doors of just about anything else on the road! I'll be a 74 year old Hoon! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoon

Just kidding!

So good to hear you're back, Rob.

Glad you have something fun to look forward to. I don't think there's an
age limit on hooning.

Let us know how you are progressing and send us a picture of you in your
new Mach I.

Happy New Year!

Rob,

Good to see you 'out and about' again. Losing a spouse can be very traumatic and takes a long time to get past. You never get OVER it, but you move
on.

I have recently lost almost 40 pounds just by doing three things; increasing my activity level (semi-retired now and doing a lot less sitting behind a
desk in favor of getting projects done) snacking less (my dentist sent me to an orthodontist to have my teeth re-aligned before the rubbing on the
incisors causes bigger problems, and I can't snack as much due to the aligners in my mouth) and I have started to go two non-consecutive days per week
with half the usual calories.

This has seemed to re-set my metabolism somewhat with really good results over the last six or eight months. It will take a minor lifestyle change to
maintain, but I am committed to it.

Have fun with the new Mustang, and hope to see you back at rallies again sometime soon.

Good on Ya, Rob
I always thought the 71 Mach 1 was the sharpest Mustang ever.
I had a 70 GTO 455 custom ordered, it was an awesome car.
I now have the last great Pontiac an 09 G8 GT.
I used to go down to Jim's some, I intended to go down and meet you
when you were hanging out down there, sorry I just didn't make it.
I too know about depression, congratulations, things like the new Mustang
will keep it from coming back!

I'm thinking Rob might be familiar with the Pontiac G8 GT- since it's actually a rebadged Holden Commodore SS!

Sadly - we rarely see the G8 GT or GXP (or the earlier Holden based GTO) in Canada...

Rob,

I have been on the forum for over 10 years. My Revcon project was displaced by other tings and i wandered off. Then a beautiful Birchaven snuck into
my driveway so I came back.

It was disappointing to not find you here as a regular fount of wisdom and wit.

Glad you're back
