So, this upgrade I have not done yet. So is there a source for these seats or do I just hit my local junk yard?

Thanks,

Another good option are mid 90's, Chevy Astro, and GMC Safari seats. Get th=
e back bucket seats. Generally better. Then get two drivers side power sea=
t bases. So you can have both seats power. Each seat has both arm rest, bac=
k map pouches, cloth, and seat back reclines. Most are light tan, or gray. =
I like a fabric seats. Cool, and soft. The fabric held up well over the ye=
ars. I had a 98 GMC Safari that was used as a services van most it's life. =
At 249,000 miles. I noticed that it had the seats I was looking for. Both F=
RONT seats were still in great condition. The back bucket seats hadn't be=
en in for years. But the fronts were fine. Scrubbed them down with Tide. Th=
en rinsed them with my power washer. That was also a test of how good the f=
abric was. Set them out in the sun for 3 days. I wanted the drivers seat 2 =
inches higher. So I put that one on 1X2 inch rectangle aluminum tubing. Th=
ey sell for about $20 at U pull lots. Put them in the 78 Royale that I buil=
t 3 years ago. It wasn't the cost. But where just the seat I was looking fo=
r. Very happy. Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale

Those of us who have large shedding dogs go for either leather or vinyl on our seats. Way easier to get the hair off.

While we're on the subject, I'm about to pull the seats and dinette and bunks out for engine replacement. Looks like a good time to recover them too.
Any recommendations for a cover cheaper than leather (which is far beyond my means)??

Why are you pulling out the seats, dinette and bunks out for engine replacement?

Are you using a track that lifts the engine and slides it back to opposite the door?

It isn’t necessary to remove seats and other things to do this.

Why? Cos it gives me more room. Cos they're original and look it. I'd admire to have you demonstrate your technique on this coach :)

Johnny,
Check with Jim B. I believe he has or had a material he called Pleather?
Looks and feels like leather but cheaper.
