I am finally getting my rebuilt engine back together! I took lots of picture and notes, but not of the front of the water pump apparently..

there is a bolt/stud just over the radiator outlet that is clearly intended to hold a bracket or something. What goes on it?

Not my pic, but can be seen in this photo

Thanks

The stud by the water pump INLET is for the Air Conditioner adjustment
bracket. The end towards the water pump has a hole. The other end has a
slot for belt adjustment.

Well, with Hupy's reply (thanks Jim), and further digging - I am missing something!
It was three years and a few alternators belts before I figured out I was missing the rear alternator bracket - now I know the previous rebuilder left
off this bottom AC bracket as well...

Kept digging for pics and this one shows what I am missing (not my pic, just kept digging in the photo files)

Only half of the bar is shown in the OEM diagram - having not seen it in person, I could not tell where it went.

Mystery solved - now to find one. But, that adjuster bolt goes right in the block - pretty strong, doesn't seem like the bar adds much...? Do I need
it?
