When I was looking for new wheels and tires, I think I checked just about all of
the combinations available 2 years ago, without the aid of the net. I choose
the Goodyears mounted on Alcoas. One interesting thing: there is a spedo error
of about 10%. When the spedometer reads 50, you are going 55.
Back to the tires. I don't have much to compare them to. When I bought the
coach, it had bias tires that were dri-rotted on the sidewalls, so all I did was
drive it home, without pushing it. I have used the Goodyear G159's (when I can
get them) on my 42 Ft race car trailer. A lot of other tires have
failed....tripple axle, heavy load, fast driving...but, not the Goodyears. Thus
far in 2 years, no trouble on the coach, either.
