Yes, I am stating that the Ride Height Adjustment & Torsion Bar
adjustment is inter related. A front Torsion Bar that is out of
adjustment can be off set by increasing/decreasing the cross axis air bag
pressure to set the rear height control. Thereby increasing/decreasing
the weight carried by the cross axis wheel combination. A weight over
load condition can be created on the cross axis wheels by a miss adjusted
Torsion Bar. Now if your coach is grossly imbalance with placement of
cabinets, fridge, tools, Onan, etc, a torsion bar proper adjustment will
not compensate for that. But, one should be able to get even weight
distribution on the front wheels. This would be a much safer driving
condition, even if the rear wheels weight is not balanced due to
component placement.
That's my option.....lets hear from others. Clear as mud ???????
At one of our GMC Western States Roundup I brought a set of truck scales
& we measured (weight of each wheel) about 50 coaches & found many that
had near proper height adjustment, that was grossly out of balance. The
worst coach had 500 pounds more on one front wheel than the other front
wheel.....Height measure was OK. Subsequent to the Roundup, that coach
was adjusted properly & the Owner stated that the coach handled much,
much better & he eliminated an over load condition on his tires IIRW.

PS: You may want to check with your local Highway Patrol & see if they
have a set of Truck scales that could be used.....safety issue. I have
heard of other clubs arranging for a local Highway Patrol to visit their
rally & provide a safety weight measurement program.
