Pat,

The fresh water sender is available from Cinnabar but I don't recall the
price. Senders for the black tank are available from both Cinnabar and
Golby's for $90. The new sender is superior to the old style in that the
new one uses magnetic sensors coupled to a rotating shaft - it looks like
it will not fail in use.

You might check with Scott Nehoda on the list to see if he has any parts as
well.

WOW! Henry, do you have working knowledge of these gauges??? How do ya
like them? Anyone else gotem? Man, they really look slick! My black water
gauge is dead and fresh is about the same and I don't have any ambition to
replace either. It seems kinda stupid to have a mechanical unit sloshing
around, corroding up in that god forsaken' place now-a-days.

BTW... Just ordered the standard Digi-Panel and the net price no longer
applies either |-(. Got it and extra temp unit for the "Sweat Lodge". Also
need to scrounge some junk yards to find Emery's great ram air setup so I
can minimize my doghouse and get a K&N filter (Say, Emery how's the ol vapor
lock fix going???).

The "Sweat Lodge" is a very ample name for her today. Too hot to ride the
Hawg so what do I do... ya, you guessed it! I washed her and checked and
drained her fluids, greased her bogies, etc. MAN I was sweatin' like a stuck
pig (109 heat index)!!! Geez, good thing I'm in half way good shape or I'd
have stroked out! Took 4 beers and a shower just to rehydrate and I ain't
going back out!

Jerry Lader posted the info about the external sensors. They work by
measuring capacitance.

The industrial sensors that I worked with 20 years ago worked well. There
are potential problems with them - including scrapes etc. Keep in mind that
the GMC is a lot lower to the ground than SOBs. Therefore the sensors are
at more risk.
