Eric:
Article I was referring to is found starting on p14 of the Jan 97 issue.
It only talks about a cast vs. stamped 6 paddle impeller.
It lists Ray Curtis at Eaton GMC and RV Sales, 800-764-3673 as a contact
for the water pumps. Perhaps you could call him and ask about your TRW
find and in turn let the rest of us know what he says.

Paul - yes I am confused - I was right the first time - WATER PUMP - is
there an 8 vane TRW pump available? And is it acceptable & what is a
source & cost
Eric
Eric:
First you were talking "water pump". Now you say "fan".
Are you confused???? Sorry, but I'm poor at mind
reading! I
know, this
now gives everyone else a free shot, right?
If you are going to the trouble of replacing your
cooling fan,
look at
the serpentine belt system from Leigh Harrison. Go to
Heinz's
web site
(
http://www.bytedesigns.com/gmc/serpinti1.htm) and look
at it if
you
aren't familiar with it.

P. S. Subscribing to GMCMM won't get you the article on
water
pumps, but
purchasing a back issue will.
