Don't know about the rest, but(unless there is a "new" Chevy 350 out there)
this much doesn't make sense. The Chevy smallblock dates back to the 50's
while the 403 was developed in the 70's. Not to mention the water pumps
aren't even similar. The Olds water pump is open-backed and mounts flush to
the front of the block while the Chevy has a cover plate on the pump and
stands out from the front of the block.
If NAPA just began stocking these, you would think it was in response to a
new engine - not something dating back to the 50's or 70's. Then again, I
can't imagine what "new" engines GM has brought out recently that would use
this pump. Arch, why not call or visit a GM dealership and have them check
the part number. If it's valid, they should be able to tell you the
application.
