Greetings> Question: Have you changed your fluid lately. I had a similar
problem and it took quite a while to fill the radiator up after replacing it.
Apparently the fill tubes go sideways and can get an air bubble in them so as you
heat the water and let it cool you keep adding anti freeze solution and eventually
all the air will come out. Chuck 78 Eleganza, Lompoc, CA I will look in the
morning for the sending unit part number. My books are in the coach. chuck

Darryl,

before you start replacing things in the charging system how about a little more information?

Have you checked your batteries for the ability to hold a charge?
It takes a pretty long drive to recharge the house batteries - can you charge them successfully from shore power?

Diodes typically fail completely and don't develop an extra voltage drop from what I've seen. If you remove the house battery
connection from the isolator do you get voltage on the house battery side? If so, what voltage?

For the glowing indicator - have you checked your grounds? I don't have my manuals here at home, but I do know that some parts
of the instrumentation can be biased as a result of ground resistance. I'm still chasing part of my dash problem, but it's
gotten better.

Good luck,

Henry

Darryl:

I had a new isolator put on my '76 Royale a few months ago, and it seems to
be working fine. As soon as I can get out there to check (in a day, or
two), I'll post the brand and part no. (unless I see that someone else has
answered your query first.
