I owe you a big THANK YOU!!!!! You suggested that I contact Michelin about
the tires that had blown out so I did. Sent them an e-mail last Friday
detailing the catastrophic failure of one tire and the tread separation of
the other.
Received a call from them 9:00AM this morning. Asked me some questions,
asked me how they could help me. told them that I was going to change from
the 16.5 to 16" rims and get new tires. Michelin told me that they would
give me 2 LT225 75R16 XPS 10 ply tires for the two that were defective,
free!!!. Than they offered to give me 5 more at half of the negotiated
price ($129.95)from the local NTB center in Syracuse. WoW! They asked me if
it was satisfactory to me. I was embarrassed and told them that I did not
really expect anything since I had already decided to replace the tires.
They wanted to asure me that Michelin stands behind every opne of their
tires, even if they are 10 years old(which they determined by the numbers
that I had furnished them in the e-mail).
