Warm beer

AHHHH- the afternoon off-time to relax with a cold beer---WRONG
I opened the refrigerator door to warm beer and the smell of ammonia-
I'm sure not a good sign. It looks like I need a new fridge. Any
thoughts on what the best model is and whether or not I could instal
this myself

I file by depth ) as to why the Great Wes prefers Norcold. I can tell
you that my new Dometic has performed flawlessly for 2 years now. When I
stop for gas, I can punch a little button at eye level to put it on DC,
and then back again to LP. Plug in at a campground and it automatically
goes to AC. It will keep 2 cases of beer refreshingly cold, as long as
you don't bother with food. (eat at restaurants!) I had the black glass
panels put in the doors and I really like the look.

I will vouch for Dometic.

We have the Dometic Americana model RM2652 unit installed. The PO had
just put it in just before we bought it from her 2 years ago. It has
worked great without any problems, in fact we leave it on all summer
when the coach is in use. It is a 120 vac/gas and it automatically
switches when necessary. The control power is 12vdc. Tim, you and I
must have the same unit
