Wanted: Original cockpit seats 73-74 - Upper Alabama region

I can't believe you are selling those most comfortable seats for $50. The whole time I had GMCs I lusted after those seats and literally begged you
to hold them for me. I wouldn't swap a whole car load of Honda seats for those. Oh, well!

You should have kept your GMC; you could now be riding on these seats! I
doubt they'd be acceptable in a Bluebird. :-)

Let me expand on the above.

Thanks.

Prior to ending up in that yard in that shape, the only thing wrong with that Sequoia was transmission trouble. It was complete and had been under a
tarp for who-knows-how-long. I asked the owner if he would sell it, and he brushed me off. I estimate he got a few hundred dollars for it, I would
have given him a couple thousand. If I had ended up with it, I would have installed a Manny Tranny and put it back in service. The guy that ended up
with it just wanted the Olds 455 out of it. So after he yanked the 455 (and the Onan to sell) and pushed the RV around the yard by the bumpers and
radiator with a front end loader, I bought the fridge and propane tank and Devin got some more stuff.

And I went over there today to look at the seats, which were still in it. Ruined by the lack of windshields and windows letting the weather in.

We have a fallback plan, but I would prefer to figure out how to get some OEM seats FOB my house before April.

Right now, yours are the most promising option.

Were they originally bolted to the offset swivel type pedestals? If not, are the pedestals included?

Is anybody traveling West or South transiting the Wheeling, WV area that can relay them closer to Alabama?

I would really like to have them in place for Peer by the first of April.

Mark,

In November of 2013 I got a couple of trapezoidal offset swivel bases with
the storage compartments from Cinnabar.

The bases were $40.00 each and shipping was $36.85 each for a total of
$153.70.

Thanks Rob.

The pedestals I have are the ones with the offset swivel, not slanted like the ones on the early models. So I need the right seats, OR I need seats
AND pedestals.

Can someone tell me if the slides were the same for all year models? Specifically, where the slides for the slant bases the same as the slides for the
offset swivel bases.

My originals were almost criminally painful. Found a pair of Flexsteels out of a conversion van and finally ride in comfort. I tried to make a swivel
desk chair out of the originals, but they were too uncomfortable for that either.

I understand it is a safety/inspection/registration issue. Seats need to be OEM. Comfort is irrelevant to the bureaucrat inspectors. Current seats are
second row Honda Odyssey seats and the OEM seats were given away (to Devin Wells in TN, who shipped them to Loffen in Norway).
