What's on the agenda this month? Replacing the rear leaf springs. You can clearly see the 7cm difference here. The Revcon is sagging on the driver's side.

I know your GMC motorhomes have a great air suspension system, however I have installed a RV-84 Hendrickson tandem in the rear on my 1979 Revcon.

Does anyone know which kind of 4 spring bushes I need for my Hendrickson Tandem?

The team in Babenhausen/Germany has asked me to order them, they are going to replace my rear leaf springs. All 4 bushings should be the same style.

I contacted the European Hendrickson distributor.

The reply was:

"We at Hendrickson are exclusively B2B, not B2C.

If I were to source these parts for you, assuming it's even possible, they would be so expensive that it would certainly be more cost-effective and faster for you to have them manufactured.

I urge you to explore other options."

Well, thanks a lot.

And here's a reference to the catalog:

Who could make something like this for me if I can't get the bushings as original parts?

It looks like the bushings were included with Spring Assembly No. 1, Part No. 45739, but they aren't listed separately with a part number (INCLUDES BUSHINGS).

The leaf springs are not the problem, I need the 4 bushings only.

Of course, this service manual is ancient history...

Once again, I'm left high and dry in Europe.

Is there a Hendrickson distributor/specialist in the US which I could ask?

The old springs are worn on the rear axles, new ones are no problem, my repair shop has already got them. The problem is to get the 4 original bushing for my RV-84 Hendrickson Tandem which really fit.

Unfortunately you're asking your question in the wrong place. The GMC rear suspension shares nothing in common with a Revcon.

Good lock in your search.

Can you have the springs re-arced or add an extra leaf on the left side?
Have you weighted each wheel separately?
I talked to the repair shop today. That' s exactly what they are doing right now. New springs are not necessary.

I "only" need 4 new fitting bushings.

"Pohl Springworks" is maybe a source for my bushings. Cyrax, the Facebook Revcon specialist, needs the measurement of my old bushings and he will give them to Pohl Springworks. A glimmer of hope. 🙏
