I pulled the 74MM calipers off of our 78 Royale to put on 80MM. Thought of putting those 74 MM on the 73 that I'm selling. As they only had about 30,000 miles on them. Then decided that new really would be better with the new brake hoses. I like to paint parts before installing. I was out of the cast iron colored paint. I had some Rust Oleum ( SP ) Hammered Gray is a perfect match.

Not sure that will hold up to the heat on the calipers. They do make paint specificly for them.

I had run out of my cast iron paint. So with the auto parts store closed. I thought of this hammered gray. I've never been pleased with the cast iron paint as to rust. As to heat. Calipers can get warm. As to hot. You get your calipers to the point that the hammered gray burns. Your brake fluid will have been boiled out of that caliper. Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale, Iowa

If you heat the calipers ( or anything that gets hot in service) before
painting them and they are properly cleaned most automotive bomb can paint
will hold up pretty well.
