Looks like activism did some good.(from Escapees.com)
We have been in contact with Pat Metz of the Illinois Department of Public
Health. He has
advised us that at the May 8 meeting of the Campground Advisory Council, the
members
unanimously recommended that the Department not require Wal-Mart's to
adhere to the
campground licensing requirements. Based on the lack of any public health
problems to the
Department's knowledge, a position statement is being finalized and will be
provided to all
individuals who commented to the Department. That statement will be posted
to this site as soon
as we receive a copy.
