Hi David:
Don't know if you are the person to register with but the VIN number of the
unit we just bought is:
TZE 064 V 100878
Thought it was registered as a '73 but the title says '74 which matches with
the VIN number. The odometer says 78,000 miles and it appears to be accurate.
Runs well with no major engine problems that I can detect. Oil pressure gauge
reads low but I won't know if that is going to be trouble until I put a good
gauge on it.
I'm not certain but the exterior looks as if it might have been repainted
with "tape" stripes allong the side. Color is a very nice looking tan. A few
Polaroid photos are on my web page at:
http://www.tcnj.edu/~edelbach/mh.htm
Previous owner said it is a "glacier" model but I havne't seen anything
proving that. First things I'm going to do is replace the carpet and get a
set of skirts to cover some of the rear suspension. I've order the shop
manual, parts book and TSB from Cinnibar so I have some reading to keep me
busy until spring arrives.
Records don't go back more than 5 years but there was plenty of work done in
that time period such as air compressor, tires, brake system, front
suspension, exhaust, APU, refrigerator, and more.
Altogether, I think I got a pretty good buy based on what I've seen for sale
over the past 2 months on the WEB and in the newsletters. Really looking
forward to some fun since I enjoy older cars and other mechanical artifacts.
Won't be able to think about Florida in the winter until I retire from my
college teaching job. As long as it is fun, I'm going to continue but after
that, who knows where we'll go. Happy motoring....
