Met a guy in Seattle who had installed roller rockers on his 455. This is
just one in a long list of things he had done to get his gas mileage up to
10.5 MPG. Now I want to tell you there hasta be a lot of flat ground for me
to even get close to ten MPG. And the fuel injection and headers are at the
very top of MY list. But!! Old age has taught me that it's the little things
that make the difference. What do you think?? is it worth considering?? Or
is this that gray area that just makes you feel good to spend the money.

In my opinion, there has to be an economic reason to push for increased
economy, i.e., Dollars!

I regularly get 8.5 mpg towing my Saturn. A 10% increase at the end of he
year, say on 10k miles may result in about $100 savings. I might be
willing to spend $200 for a 10% improvement so I can get my return in two
years. But other than that I don't care what I get or how much it costs
to feed my 455. That's the price of ownership.

I don't understand the "fantastic 10.5 MPG". I, and many others, average 10.5
MPG consistently. My engine is stock w/185,000 miles.
