I had to enlarge one side of the frame crossmember, and the removable
bottom frame support. It was fairly quick and easy with a small
sidegrinder. Other than that it was fairly easy. Many test fits of
course, but easy with an empty tank. I changed the kitchen drain into
tank as it would make future tank removals easier. The previous owner
had it off at some time and the drain was not sealed and the fitting
cocked sideways which put a permanent distortion for the drain fitting.
This is on one of the photos I sent you using long sweep 90 degree
fittings with a rubber sleeve just above the tank.
Anyone needing to have a rigid hanger should look at the picture on
Gene's site. It is a 3" abs stack support available at a plumbing shop.
Their use in home constroction is to support the stack (vent) pipe on a
second story home. It is glued on the side of the pipe with the same abs
solvent used to join the pipe and fittings.
The previous owner had the tank discharge pipe held up with perforated
plumbing banding. This does not prevent the discharge pipe from
"bouncing". I feel that this is the cause of a lot of stripped valve
bolts, and not overtightening.
