Value of insulation

In 2015 I removed all original insulation from the ceiling of my 26' to
replace it with more modern stuff. Some photos on the photo site show
details.

Today, we found out what a difference the old and the new bring. While
the ceiling is only slightly warm, the driver side next to the bunk beds
is very warm. I'd say at least 5-10Kelvin difference. This means for me:
The 23' will receive a full insulation ceiling and walls.

1 Kelvin is equal to 1.8 degree Fahrenheit.

Zero degrees Celsius is 273 degrees Kelvin. Kelvin scale starts at Zero which is defined as ABSOLUTE ZERO where all molecular activity has ceased (minus 273 C).

Nothing in the above statement is in error.
What is confusing to some it the difference between one degree Kelvin and one Kelvin degree.
One of these is a sensible (measurable) temperature and the other is a variation in the sensed temperature.

I used to have this discussion with lab techs all the time.

I believe 1 Celsius degree = 1 kelvin degree. It is just where they start counting.

Absolute 0 or freezing point of water.

AND, when you shop for replacement light bulbs/lamps (LED or CFL) at Home Depot, Lowes's, or specialty lamp/bulb stores, you definitely need to pay attention to the Kelvin range of what you buy. "Soft white" gives you what could be charitably called "pastel" colors. "Daylight" at the high end of the visible light spectrum gives you just what it says but some (many?) folks consider that uncomfortable. "Bright white" is somewhere in the middle. Personally, I prefer the brightest I can get with my 79 year old eyes, especially when I am reading print or working on my various electronic projects.

Actually the art teacher may have disagreed …….as degrees Kelvin is used to describe color temperature. A warm, yellowish light might be described as having a color temperature of 2700 degrees Kelvin while a bright white light might be described as having a color temperature of 5000 to 6000 degrees Kelvin.

Colour determines the temp?? Sure does!
Transparent isn't much good for insulation. Coloured stuff...just never
quite enough !
