Thanks for all your inputs. I drove out to see it today and took a
short (and illegal - no tags) test drive.
Here are the numbers:
TZE063V101152
Serial #: 901384
Plan appr: 9647 (whatever that is)
Mfg Date: 673
51,000 miles
ENGINE:
Engine started right up, idled smoothly. Oil was low, but above the
"add" mark, and needed to be changed. Engine seemed clean enough,
although not grunge free. The drive was quite easy and smooth.
Accelleration seemed a bit lethargic, but I've never driven a
motorhome before (this will be my first one) I made a hard stop and it
came down straight and quickly. Driving the GMC was easier than the
5-ton truck I drove in the Gulf War, almost like driving a large van.
Upon dropping it into "D", a red light and buzzer came on: "Place
power switch in travel mode" - I was still in manual (park) mode.
INTERIOR:
Speedo & fuel guage only, rest were idiot lights.
Rough, in my opinion. The bath/closet area seemed to have been
re-laminated in white laminate. Were the original interiors this way?
The rest of the coach was in a whitewashed kind of laminate that
curved around the corners, rather than coming to a 90 degree corner.
Nice. The insides of the storage areas on the left as you come in the
door were raw plywood with lots of screws hanging out, seemingly to
hang things on. Were the original interiors this way, or were they
finished?
Window rubber very dry. Different cabinet doors over the couch than
over the kitchen. Water leaking in through holes in shower vent and
somewhere in the left rear, which had been caulked with clear silicone
on the outside, which the owner says has fixed it.
EXTERIOR:
Nice shape. Had been painted: was beige with green strips, now beige
with brown stripes. I could tell because the green was still behind
the gas filler door, and was peeling off in other places. Air
compressor tank has a bubble on the bottom, appears to be rust from
the inside? Onan generator unproven - not enough gas in the tanks.
right rear door covering a HUGE LP tank had been chipped at the rear
edge by the awning arm.
Any suggestions as to value? More later if needed.
