Remember, an auxilliary pump is not the only way to get supplementary
vacuum. You can also add a tank. This can give you enough reserve vacuum
for 8 to 10 brake applications after the engine quits (depending on the
size of the tank).
I like solutions that don't add mechanical complexity. (My .02)
