Having returned Wednesday from five days at Horseneck Beach Mass. with
the GMC (one burst heater hose which I had extra in the coach and some
rough idle when hot ) I now have 42 girls, aged 5 to 12, camping in our
backyard tonight. Julie's Pop Warner cheerleading squad is having their
annual campout. I have 9 of the older girls in the GMC, 10 little ones
in the 12x12 tent and the rest scattered around the 7 or so other
tents. By a show of hands, 7 had never slept outside and 4 arent sure
if they ever did.

Needless to say, Julie is asleep and Skippy The Dog said, to heck with
this and curled up in a corner and went to sleep. I have been
comforting the little ones since the older girls told them that they
shouldnt be afraid of the fox and coyotes that live in our yard because
the black bear chased them away. (all have been spotted on our land in
the past week or two)

Wish me luck. Tommorow I have 20- 6 year old boys over for Thomas'
birthday party and Sunday morning we are hosting my parents 45th
anniversary, then we are taking the GMC to Skidmore College to drop off
Katie for her Girls Science Camp. I am also mounting the tow plate and
tow bar to the Tracker to take it to Ken Frey early next week.

Ahhh. The good old days. I remember similar events about 10 years ago. Do
you really think that you'll get any sleep?

Just got back form Skidmore. Survived the weekend, parties, cheerleaders,
six year olds and installation of tow bar mounting plate et al.. I am
looking forward to getting back to the office this week to get some rest!

I have 24 days to get ready for the trip to Colorado. I have accepted the
fact that my coach will not be first prize in the concourse at Grand
Lake. I dont care. Just have to get six months of work done in three
weeks. Based on what I pulled off this weekend, it is acheivable. Alot
depends on Ken Frey and how much he can do how fast. I may have to rely
on the fix it when it breaks method of traveling. I do have the new
trailer that can hold 2000 lbs of tools and Dave's credit card!
