I have read here that folks are putting an house window AC unit (or other
type)
under the fridge. But no descriptions.
1) Does it require outside ventilation for fresh air
2) etc., etc., etc., any all info from fellow members of this site

Jerry: I'm also interested in a floor mounted a/c unit. I recently talked
with Melvin Shaffer about his setup. He put a lower unit in some time ago
and is extremely pleased with it. He is planning on putting a second unit
up near the front and removing the dash a/c. Both units will be powered by
his 4000 watt Ultralite Onan (may not be the right model but it is a newish
Onan). He runs the a/c quite a bit and doesn't find his gas usage
significantly affected. He sent me some JPEG's showing his installation and
the vent to the front bogie area. Do you want me to email them to you? In
answer to your question, yes you need a vent to the outside.
He feels that removing the weight of the old unit from the top of the
coach is an excellent move in terms of lowering the center of gravity and
adding to the stability and safety of the GMC. Also, the cost of the unit
is modest compared to the RV a/c's. He has an 8500 BTU unit in his 23 foot
coach and recommends a 10,000 Btu unit in a 26 foot coach.
Melvin, please correct me if I have any errors in my description of
your setup.
