I inherrited a number of GMC Marketplace issues from my PO (circa
1993-1997). There are advertisements for Classco. I heard they are now
defunct. Does anyone know what happened? Seemed like good products for a
reasonable price.

Chip,

I don't have any firsthand knowledge, but I've heard that they got into a
cash-flow bind and shut down with "help" from the IRS.

They did some nice work, but I've also heard from a former employee that
some of their later work(during the aforementioned cash-flow crisis) left a
little to be desired.

No facts, just scuttlebutt,
Patrick

Tony Bell had a problem with the people who collect taxes for the State
of Florida!

Too bad, as he had a nice operation and had nice people working for him,
of which Jim Bounds was the Star!
