WOW!
I had no idea the UltraVan had stuff like that- but what a cool rig... I
knew a guy in Calgary who had an UltraVan that finally after many trips all
over the place finally wore out the 140HP Powerglide Corvair powertrain-
rather than rebuilding, he had it converted to an Olds 455 like the GMC
uses. He used to have fun drag racing downtown with muscle cars, as with
the ~4500 lb weight and good traction, he could give a lot of pretty fast
cars a run for thier money.
I hadn't thought of him in years- thanks for the memory! Theres some
UltraVan stuff on the web, several years ago I had a few of thier
newsletters from Group UltraVan, thier motto was "Whales on Wheels" ;-)
