Twin Bed in 26-3

Yes, Forrest Crowe did do that installation and is reportedly very happy
with it. I think he's got photos of it posted, but I don't know how to
find them.

we did it in our 1976 Eleganza I only cut a foot well box in the closet that way we still have use of most of the closet it inset as good as a full
twin rear bed but we are happy with not having too climb over each other

Yes. At the bottom of your diagram it says Concept by Forest Crow.

He built them quite some time ago.
I have seen the beds in his motorhome and he is very happy with them.

You can contact him at fpcrow
He lives in LaGrange, IN.

If you are going to the GMCMI Convention in Elkhart, IN in September,
Forest should be there.

Very nice. Thanks for the link. Especially the tire storage was a nice surprise!

Best regards

Peer Oliver Schmidt

While I have not measured that space under the bed(s) I don't really think I would like to try to "rassle" a tire/rim out of that space and carry/wheel it through the coach OR bring the certainly dirty "bad" wheel/tire in!

A prior owner installed a frame and multi-piece plywood platform across the full width of my rear "bedroom" area. I store a large rectangular plastic storage box (with cover) under that center-line space. I do not favor using scarce interior volume for storage instead of the rear outside rack for the spare tire.

Other than that, Forest Crow's modification seems to be a really great option!

There was nothing in the posting that indicated an exterior door was included.

My first GMC had the tire moved to a compartment under a rebuilt rear bed. What a way to ruin the excellent Avion interior. I would rather have the
interior storage and the rear tire hanging on the back.

Okay, I saw that, but was looking for a pic from the outside.

The spare tire storage is inside this box. There is an access door on the back of the coach.
