this)is given in the parts manual as 50.2'for a 23' and 56.41' for a 26'.
I have had more than my share of CA smog problems on a '76 and am in the
computer as a gross polutor. The problems have been high HC caused by
vacuum leaks. one was caused by a technician who left off a the thermal
control valve hose and the valve opened up during the test.
Be sure to ask for a pre test, which they must give if requested, so you
don't go in the computer as a gross polutor. SB 772 was passed by the CA
legislator las year that would have removed the under hood inspection if
the vehicle passed the tail pipe test. The bill was vetoed by the
Govenor based on CARB input. Until we get a new Gov. Fuel injection is
out lunless you want to R&R for each inspection.
