What is the basis behind what you say about the Turbo/Maxx??

The Fantastic vent is the only way to go. CW sells them but I think
Scott , again on the GMC Net all the time, also has them and at a better
;price.

If you try the Turbo/Maxx ceiling fan/vent with thermostat from Camping
World you will throw rocks at all the Fan-Tastic vents you see. That's my
opinion. Gary Kosier

Hi Paul,
My strong opinion is first based on the fact that I am an opinionated,
wild-eyed radical. Ask my wife if you doubt that. But,-----
1. The Fan-Tastic is a flimsy design when open. It rattles and dances
around in a stiff breeze.
2. It has several electrial components that are critical to keeping a
change in the weather outside. (rain sensor and lid operator) Any
failure produces a problem. The more electrical systems you have,
the more potential for failure.
3. The lid is exposed to sunlight. sooner or later it will die.
4. They have a terrific warranty. But, you have to contact them
and they must ship the parts to you and you must install them.
I like anvils and sledgehammers.
A. The Turbo/Maxx has a 1-piece, aerodynamic outer shell. It
rides very comfortably at the speeds we like to drive. (fast)
B. On our Eleganza it sits right in front of the front air conditioner.
We've been in blizzards, ice storms and god-awful rains and nothing
seems to bother it.(like a Timex) If you leave it open, nothing gets in.
C. The fan is isolated from the vehicle roof and is very quiet in
operation. No drum-head effect. I don't foresee any problems from
exposure of the fan and motor. (See B. above)
D. I had to install a square-cornered standard roof vent under the
Turbo-Maxx. Since it is protected from ultra-violet by the opaque
white cover, it should last forever. Like an anvil!!!
E. I don't know what their warranty is, but I know that I can
crank down the fairly-indestructible well-protected inside lid and
continue on my merry way. No failed rain sensor will ever cause
my dinette seat to squish when I sit down.
Well, that's my story and I'm stickin to it.
