Frank,
I looked in the manual and it says to put the sensor on the neg.
terminal of the battery, I don't think that it makes any difference
which battery if you are using 2 batteries in the back. Pick the
easiest one to reach.

I am getting the parts together for the rear disk conversion and will
call you when I am ready. Remember you borrowed my jack at Myrtle Beach.

Let me add a third guess... although I do not disagree with Emery's
comment (he is correct), the sensor was described as a temperature sensor
and may be only sensing temperature (and not voltage too) of the battery
and just needs a surface with good thermal conductivity to give an
approximation of the internal battery temp as an indication of the
charging process. It is possible that the two batteries because of
differences in their age and condition, and the fact that they are in
series will have different temperatures. It sounds like a good question
for one of the True Charge ENGINEERS, as I am sure the question came up
during the design and refinement process.

Being that it is a Temperature sensor and not a voltage or amp sensor it
does not make any difference which Neg. terminal it is on. It does not
sense voltage. It is a temp sensor that generates it own signal back to
the Charger.
