you can access AOL
>anywhere in the U.S. PRico, and the US Virgin Islands (up to 14.4 Kbps for VFC
>modems) using AOLnet and the number 1-800-716-0023, Your AOL account will be
>surcharged just 10 cents per minute, or $6.00 per hour, for the entire time
>you are connected using this number (even during the trail period) They then
>give directions on how to create a new loction. The AOL ISP Profile gives me
>about 150 local area codes.

Several other national providers have these 800 #s.

GTEnet - (800)638-1483 - 33.6K - $5.95/hr - http://www.gte.net/dialin/

ATT Worldnet - 800-543-3279 (28.8k) or 888-296-3892 (56k) - 10 cents per
minute -http://care.worldnet.att.net/nemo/lupa.html

Earthlink - -$24.95 per month for the first five hours; $4.95 for each
extra hour -http://www.earthlink.net/home/access/numbers.html

I'm sure there are several others.

Hope this helps

IS of MAJOR interest to Me, Ed,
I want something like this, but don't know enough about the technology
available and affordable for Me, to know where to search for more
information relative to totally portable access.
I want to have internet(especially e-mail) access from My boat(no phone
line access).
I want to have communication in a vehicle/airplane while underway.
WHAT do I want???
