Transmission Leak

Thanks, I'll do that. Might even go ahead and do it before the next change
is due if it will cure the problem long term. (I won't tell him I've got
the external filter he doesn't like.) :-)

I think he's right; why put an extra filter in the loop when you have a paper filter already?

When I was fighting transmission leaks I got a gasket set from Manny, he included O-Rings that go on each bolt. Regarding gaskets, personally, I like
the cork gasket. If the pan is straight and the holes aren't dimpled, a cork gasket along with O-Rings on each bolt should work well.
