I installed one of the three piece nylon rock deflector screens we purchased
in Canada for our Alaskan trip. Three screens in a $40 kit spreads across
the front of the RV to deflect rocks. Worked well. Birds loved it because it
also collected bugs, which they cleaned off when we stopped. No need to wash
it as it was picked clean for the next days drive.
One screen just slips into the bottom lip of the transmission cooler and is
a perfect fit on the width. A simple tie down on each side at the top and it
was mounted at a supported deflection angel. Simple solution.
