Paul - are these hard stainless steel or are they the high tech rubber?

John:

Clarence Buskirk is an advocate of rerouting the transmission
fluid
lines along the frame, using Aeroquip lines and fittings, in
order to
elimanate the exhaust heat source.

I have a Ragusa Transmission cover on order. Any recommendations
on
Trans
temp sensor and gage?

I just had Thorley headers installed. I find the oil cooler
hoses about
2-3"
from the headers on one side and transmission lines running
right under
the
header on the driver's side. At the moment, I plan to pick up
some
insulation (it looks like the split looms you use to cover wire
harness
with) from a local speed shop at $60 for a 15 ft
section...sigh. Any
suggestions? I don't see that a metal shield is feasible.

Eric:

Since I was out of town when you sent this I don't believe I answered
you.

Although I haven't installed such, it's my understanding that they are
steel lines.
