I read in the GMCMI Newsletter that you can check accuracy of the trans.
dip stick by pulling the modulator after the trans has been brought up
to temp. Any excess oil will run out. This is where the dip stick should
read full. Has any one tried this procedure? Anyone trying this should
read the article first.

I don't know if this has been discussed or not as I have another 309 items
to read.....with the trans oil pan off and the dipstick in place the full
mark should line up with the parting surface of the trans. and trans. oil
pan.......if not make a new mark.......
