trans gears or final drive

Can anyone,who has changed their gears or final drive, tell me if they had
an engine temp change..I know on my Travco,when hauling my 4k lb. trailer
the difference between 55 MPH and 65 equals about 15 degrees. With the 3.70
gears the engine is running more rpm's . Does that mean more heat,or does
this have to do with the ''sweet spot'' thanks Pat Morrison 74 PD.

Didn't see any real difference in temperature when I went to the 3.55
final drive
