If time and funds permit, you might consider one of the Ragusa aluminum
pans. They are pre-drilled for drain plug and thermocouple. It also has a
fins on the bottom for heat dissipation. I'm not sure on the capacity, but
it looks like it might even hold an extra quart or two. I have also
purchased his final drive cover and entry step; well crafted products.
