But Ken H, and Emery came to the rescue. Thanks to you both. The isolator died a sudden death. And the PO had put a manual isolation switch that I had messed with. Next the main battery wasn't all that it could be. Then the fusible link that I didn't see, or know of. Ignorance is NOT bliss. Just extremely frustrating. Bob Dunahugh Member GMCMI.

The US Army gave me 1/2 of one of those once. I never used it. Keep the GMC.

I disagree; sleeping with puppies is quite pleasant!

It just has got so frustrating after all the labor invested in getting this GMC so perfect for Linda, and myself. I need to keep in mined that our GMC sat next to a corn field in Iowa for 20 years. That raises havoc with electrical parts. I knew that. And expected the issue. I'm just at my burn out level at this time. We've hit 2 Raccoons, and 1 pig. The mufflers get even small dents. Next the harmonics break up the outside case. Or the inside baffles due to the dents. Flow master had the patent run out on their 40 series muffler . So now you can get that type of all welded muffler for $60. I take the new mufflers home. Only to find out that one of the mufflers has the wrong size inlet. Now the shop is closed till Tuesday. It's a HOBBY. RIGHT? Bob Dunahugh

Bob, could it possibly be that you MIGHT BE just a wee bit hypervigilant
about matters of fire safety. I know, I am, and it is not even my coach. I
can truly understand your position. I sympathize with you. But, I've slept
in pup tents. They suck. Dome tents with a rip stop nylon rain fly covering
the drip line are waaaaay better. What the homeless guys out our way all
use. Hang in there.

My first long motorhome trip was in an '78 Dodge chassis Mobile Traveler, class-C that my dad had just acquired about a week earlier. We traveled
from Tucson, AZ to Prince Rupert, BC, on the way to visit my sister in Wrangell, AK. in late Summer of 1982. The motorhome had been sitting for a
time, unused. It obviously wasn't a LONG time, as it was only five years old, but I had to fix something every night on the trip north, due to mostly
corroded electrical connections. I can only imagine how bad some of that stuff in on a GMC that has been sitting idle for years and years.

Bob,

Please don't throw in the towel! You are a true inspiration to many of us
and I, for one, marvel at all that you've done with your latest project.

I hope to give you a call within the next couple of weeks for some advice
and guidance.
