I'm getting close to ordering my towing stuff. Aside from not yet having
dealt with the major pricing difference between P&E and BlueOx I'm wondering
about supplemental brakes.
As I do a fair bit of up & down travel I'm considering it as a safety issue,
rather than whether it is or isn't a requirement.
However... what system is best suited? as there now seem to be a few schemes
to choose from. I'm currently favoring the P&E, which requires a tap into
the brake line, but as I expect to keep my Toad for quite some time it
shouldn't be an issue?.
I may just be overly paranoid but it seems a box set on the floor or cable
connections to the brake pedal may not be as secure as the tied in scheme.
Is anyone using any kind of Toad brake assist? Your comments would be most
welcomed.
