Ok, need a quick answer on an obscure question. They are putting my
engine back in, and I got the reccomended heavy torque converter from
Mondello. Dick Patterson reccomended it and it seems to be a good one -
anti ballooning, correct low stall speed, etc. They went to bolt it in
and the counterweight balance on the flywheel interferes with one of the
unused mounting lugs. The converter is either 3 or 6 bolt and one of
the unused ones hits at the same spot the counterweight is on the
flywheel. Hersa asked if he could grind down the torque converter to
get it to clear? Would this alter the balance substantially and if he
does 1 of the unused mounts should he equally do the other 2 to even the
balance out?
