Hey troops, some of our brethren live mighty close the this disaster.
I believe Ken Fitzgerald is in Midwest City, Justin Hill is in Oklahoma
City and the Trimbles are in Broken Arrow. There are probably several
others too.

I'm praying they were not affected.

Hows 'bout checkin' in folks.

I don't like the silence. Anybody else in the area that has time to
check on these guys?

My neighbor is an advisor for our FFA chapter (Future Farmers of America).
They were in OKC for the national soil judging contest. (My son was a former
member of our chapter team). There were probably a couple of hundred high
school FFA and 4 H teams there for the contest.

Long story short, he called in the middle of the night to have me get them
some assistance to get home. They had plenty of advance notice, and got to a
shelter, everyone is OK.

The hotel where they were staying... leveled.
The 15 passenger van they took... gone. They can't even find it.
All they have are the clothes on their backs.

They've now got plane tickets and are on their way home. Scary for everyone.

Remember all of the power and phone lines are down in the area.

Hi to all GMC Netters,
Thanks for your concern, the tornado passed about 2 miles south of us,
and did damage east and west of us, nothing at our home except some
hail, and no damage from that. We are
very thankful and would ask you to remember the estimated
40 fatalities, 100 missing, and 600 injured in your prayers.
This storm came with plenty of warning, but since it was an
F4 to F5 tornado, it leveled about everything in its path.

Ken,

Glad to hear from you and thankful that you, Phil and Glyn all came
through unscathed.

Dave, et al

Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and concerned. And to you and
all those who individually contacted us, we are pleased to say "Thank
You, Lord" for our safety during these terrible storms.

We were within 10-12 miles of the tornadoes which struck in Tulsa. They
generally traveled SW to NE along the I-44 Highway through Tulsa. Damage
was done near Tulsa SW site with one fatality nearby.

Again, thanks for your prayers and concerns. We deeply appreciate it.

Our love to all,

Glyn and Melrose Trimble
