Is there anyone out there with experience with the Todd Power Source
Converter-Charger?

Bryon Maxwell was selling and installing them at Marion last Oct.
for $260.00.
How does it stack up to others on the market?

I do not have the Todd converter-charger but I do have a Todd Transfer
Switch. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH TODD!!! They sent me an upgraded
replacement switch (at no cost, not even shipping!!) even before I returned
the original, jost so I would not be without a switch. Great people. And
you can always talk to their service engineer on the 'phone.

Byron is also now selling the Statpower TruCharge. His web site is at
http://www.chaparral-co.com/

He also subscribes to the digest version of GMCnet and will hopefully speak
up on this subject.

I have a Todd generator transfer switch as well and I am happy with it.
I called them and they told me exactly what I needed and who to buy
it from. Bryon Maxwell was out on a trip or I would have bought it
from him. The switch is just there doing its job. It requires no
thought on my part. I assume the converter-charger
would be of equal quality.

Wayne,

I use Todd power converters and switchover units and have been very
pleased. I install 30 & 40 amp models, the 40 amp unit for those who do
alote of dry camping and charge their batteries alote.

The units are reasonablly priced $135 for the 30 & $189 for the 40amp. unit.

The switchover box eliminates the need to plug in the coach to itself for
generator use. Some people don't mind doing that and others run from the
task.

In the years I have installed them I have had 2 failures and they deid
right away, a SIDS situation!

They have a dual stage auto charge circuit but are not so sophisticated
that they eat themselves under unusualsituationwhich is usually the trouble
with converters & inverters.

I would recomend a Todd unit to anyone without reservation.

Hope this helps,
