Dave, I have a Todd also. In the 100+ outside
temperature, the Todd would get very hot but I noticed
the fan seemed to never come on. Sounds like a
similar problem. Mine has the dual voltage option so
seems like a good deal, but concerned about the fan.
Little information on the unit since it came with the
coach.
Tried thier web page at toddpower.com but it did not
respond. I am interested in what you find out.
Perhaps I'll take a look at the fan when I can.

Well, I was thinking that my Todd charger was
indestructible but...
I recently had a failure. After it was charging for a
while (at 50-60A) it shut down. Some time later it
restart. When I checked on it I found that the case
was extremely hot. Too hot to touch. Closer inspection
showed that the cooling fan was no longer working. It
looks like the over temp shutdown was shutting it down
to prevent permanent damage. I removed the cover and
that seemed to cool things down enough to allow it to
charge without shutting down. ....
