Hi Lanier,

Small world! I had an SSK for about 10 years, but mine was on a Ford
foundation with a 302V8. In fact I had just finished scanning a photo of
it into my PC.

But a VW is a VW is a VW so it can be pulled like all the VW toads out
there as long as the tranny is in neutral, just the man says.

I don't know about wether to tow forwards or backwards, but I do have a VW Thing
that I have been towing for years. I leave it in neutral, and keep the key in
so the wheel can turn, and go like heck. I rides great behind me and I never
thought of having to tow it backwards. Hope this helps
