Brian K, I have not been able to get any info on these tires. Are they a=
n All Steel construction including the sideway or do they have the poly sid=
ewall construction? The all steel sidewall tire is not what works best for=
our coaches. They are difficult to drive as the sidewalls do not flex muc=
h and will cause rut running and difficult steering going down the road. =
Over the last 19 years I have had a number of brands and both steel and =
poly side wall construction tire on the coach. The coach came with the Goo=
dyear G159 tire which was popular in the 90=E2=80=99s. Absolutely the wors=
t driving coach when we got it. They were also the last of the 16.5 tires =
that I have put on the coaches that we have owned. Bit the Bullet and got =
Alcoa wheels and new Firestone RTS 225/75R/16 LRE poly sidewall tires. Tha=
t coach turned into a 2 finger no effort to drive coach, drove the tires fo=
r 7 years. Next set was made up of 4 Goodyear G149 tires (All Steel) on th=
e rear and the fronts were BF Goodrich radial TA225/75R/16 LRE. Steel on t=
he back and Poly sidewall on the front. As long as the fronts had a poly s=
idewall tire on the front the rear tires did not affect the coach going dow=
n the road. Since we acquired the Buskirk Stretch we have run only the Mic=
helin 225/75R/16/LRE tire poly sidewall tire in all position and we have ha=
d 2 sets on the coach since 2011. We do 12K+ miles a years and have found =
the Michelin Tires to work best for us. We typically pay about $190 a tire=
mounted. I am going to make a statement that you may or may not agree wit=
h, but $300 per tire is way too much. You do not get a good cost benefit r=
atio per mile driven. If you are going to drive 2K to 3K miles each su=
mmer then you could get along with a lessor tire such a Kumo or Toyo and in=
spect them regularly. There are number of tires in this price range that m=
any have used with success. You can run any tire that your happy with. =
