Bob DeSaussere (sp?) in Northern California had monitors on his valve stems. The setup was very nice - I believe that it was
the unit that Camping World now offers.
Each monitor sends a signal to a central monitor to indicate tire pressure. The unit looked nice and had the ability to
monitor (I think) up to 10 tires. Bob's coach burned last spring, so I haven't had the chance to see more about it or speak
with him. He seemed very pleased with the results - and the folks at NorCal GMC thought that it was a pretty slick system.
The manufacturers that I looked at state that you may not monitor front tire pressure with the unit. There is no technical
reason for this, but rather I believe it to be a liability limiting decision. There may also be auro regs that prohibit the
use on front tires, although I can't imagine it.
