I chose Goodyear tires because Goodyear truck tire service is widespread
around the country. If you run into trouble, a goodyear truck tire dealer
may not to far away. That proved a good decision when we had a tire valve
work itself loose after 17,000 miles and we drove unknowingly on a slowly
deflated tire. When we got to the campsite the tire was very low. Goodyear
truck dealer in town had replacements in stock. I tightened the valve the
best I could, inflated the tire and drove slowly to his shop, only 25 miles
away. I suspected that the tire was scrap anyway. He inspected the run
nearly flat tire and said it was OK to use as is, but I transferred it to
spare as a back up anyway.
