I did not raise the engine from below, but rather pulled it up from above. This
made it easy to remove follow the Cinnabar tech advice.
After removing the engine cover I laid to heavy board across the opening in
front of the front seats. I connected a chain from the lower
power steering pump mounting bolt on engine block (power steering pump was
unbolted and moved out of the way) up the front of the engine,
then hooked the chain to the underside of my floor jack. With the front engine
mounting block lower bolts removed, I could now pump my floor jack up and raise
the engine a couple inches. No need to worry about dented the oil pan.

Once I complete my project I will post a summary for anyone else contemplating
such a job.
