Got a hold of Paul today, he's back

Money-order going out tomorrow so I still hope to make it for a May 1
departure with Toad in tow. What had you decided re Towbar? I'm considering
the P&E setup. RV mounted towbar rather than ballmount.

Me too re the Macerator, finally found one at Camping World, or rather hope
I did. Ordered on line.

My holding tank setup is of the old variety I guess, all in single tank. It
too was routed straight back and is starting to leak a little at the flex
joint so I'm hoping to get rid of leak and make room for hitch at the same
time.
Hadn't thought about re-chroming the bumper but now that you mention it...
probably the thing to do after cutting the whole.

Heinz:Sorry, but you'll probably have to wait for Paul Bennett's return (803) 799-4323,
as that's who furnished my hitch. I also had a difficult time getting in touch with
Paul...so keep calling!
The hitch comes with complete and clear installation instructions. The hitch is of
good quality metal with good welds.

The difficulty you encounter on installation will likely depend on how easily you
can get the split bumper reinforcing plate off, ie, how rusty the bolts are, and if
there is anything in the way of getting a flush fit with the frame rear cross member.
The bolts on this coach were so bad that a soaking with Liquid Wrench didn't do much
good and I ended up physically
breaking--wrenching-- them off. Then I found that someone in the past had welded a
chunk of metal onto the frame cross member (perhaps for some long ago clamp-on hitch
configuration?) which had to be sawn off for a good fit with the new hitch.
