Throttle spring

Somehow i believe i lost the spring on the carburetor for the throttle, as when i press the gas peddle it doesn't come back up, any recommendations
for a replacement ?

Make sure the cable is aligned properly.

That spring is a double spring (one inside the other) and it is available at Auto Zone, Advanced, or NAPA in the "HELP" section. Raise the engine
cover and look to see if it is broken or missing first. You can also at that time make sure the the cable or something else is not binding.

Dorman part # 59207 around will work (AROUND $6.00) There are cheaper ones as that is a kit of springs. .

Also, if you have a cruise control, make sure the chain from the actuator to the carb linkage is enclosed in a metal tube. Otherwise the chain can
hang on stuff anf stick the throttle.

yeah i was missing the spring, the universal kit did the trick for 6 bucks, i didn't have the L bracket though like some showed me pics of, so i took
advantage of that bracket in the pic.
and yeah i removed the cruise control system years ago as it was rotted and rusted out.

You have the spring hooked to the wrong place on the Qjet. You have it on the cruise ball stud. It goes through the hole on the arm on the Qjet.
